emmasi Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Read and reviewed *dusts hands.* Reading them back, I think some of my reviews are just downright mean. I didn't mean them to be . Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings
Skykat Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 ...I always have that feeling but if you've been honest people should appreciate that. personally, I'd rather know. Anna (Furry Logic) not seen you on here in a while, just wondering if you still wanted to run that one off christmas challenge?
Skykat Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 I was just thinking that now your challenge deadline is closed and christmas only three weeks away we should probably get moving on it. I've not seen her on here for a bit though.
furrylogic Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Uh... sorry. Been freakishly busy with work. I don't see why we still can't have a Christmas challenge. I have this idea. Instead of setting a due date for all stories, perhaps if I started a thread on December 24th, and posted my story in it, then whenever anyone else finishes their stories, they could add to the thread, so it basically becomes a celebration of Xmas stories which anyone can join, and it also puts them all together in one Jolly Xmas thread? Also, it doesn't restrict people to a time limit, so they don't feel rushed to have it completed in three weeks... it could be posted between Xmas and New Year, it doesn't exactly matter, does it? Everyone is happy that time of year. Its more a celebration of our writing than anything, so it doesn't need to be anonymous either. Any thoughts? Am I making sense?
Skykat Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Anna that's a fabulous idea! I love it. Are you going to set a few restrictions though ie. one shots/ christmas theme etc?
furrylogic Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 As a little extra idea/thing, instead of worrying about a winner or challenge right before christmas anyone that wanted to, could write a little one shot christmas story. Like It was the night before Christmas and all through the Summer Bay house... Maybe just stick to that original idea? But not having to use that phrase exactly as a prompt, but a Christmas song mentioned in the one shot, or a line from a Christmas movie, like The Grinch or Love Actually? Or... Every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings... anything that makes it a one shot about Christmas, more so than any other one shots out there... Or is that too restrictive? As for lengths, whatever your merry little heart desires... I can't see anyone wanting to write a novel as a Christmas one shot... if, however, the one shot leads you into a new story, thats pretty awesome too Due date, whenever you find the time. There shall be a thread to post in from December 24th onwards. One more thing though... I'm not a very good proof-reader, and I also don't have much time on my hands at the moment (does anyone though?) So, if anyone feels they would be able to proof stories, that would be so awesome. If not, I'll see what I can do.
~Rosey~ Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 I really like this idea! Can anyone join..?

Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings Nah. I wrote one. And when I read all my reviews I felt offended, then I'm like, Nah, they were just giving a) honest opinions, and b) advice, because none of them really are perfect.
