It's funny because I just made a post in the 'writers assistance' thread about this, but I started writing my fic, and had it planned out, but I got so far in and decided I didn't like it. That's why you rarely see me entering these things, I never get one finished!

I've been sent an awful lot of PMs asking for reassurance on the pairings allowed in this competition, it seems to be posing difficulties for a lot of people.

I just wanted to reiterate in here what I've said in the PMs I've replied to and earlier in this thread.

I'm not being at all strict on the pairings in the entries. I'm not too concerned if the pairing is completely unconventional, whether the characters were on screen together etc, etc. If the pairing fits your perception of the challenge then it's good enough for me.

What I really wanted to see with these entries was different characters interracting together. I think there's a tendency with every writer to write about the characters they're comfortable with and hence you get millions of entries with the same characters. What I wanted for this challenge was to have lots of entries with lots of different characters.

I also wanted the stories to be judged on the stories rather than on the pairings so by having everyone write about an unconventional or unusual or different pairing then everyone can (hopefully) be judged on an even playing field.

As long as the writers are thinking outside the box or writing about something a bit different then I'm happy.

Hope that helps anyone who is having doubts. If people want my opinions though they're still very welcome to PM me.

For general information I'm currently in possession of two complete entries, I've had a further two for proof reading and I know of at least another three that are either finished but not yet sent or in the process of being written. Hopefully there'll be more to add to that.

Glowing Angel and others if you've got something written or in the process of being written that you either don't like or are unsure about why not send it to someone, either myself or another person on the board and ask their opinion? That's really helped me in the past when I've been unsure about things or had writers block and even if you don't like it, another reader might be able to pick out things for you to work with, suggest changes etc. I don't think that there's any writer who can't be helped by someone elses ideas and sometimes I think bouncing ideas off other people is the best way to overcome writers block.

There's still plenty of the deadline left so please keep those entries coming, I love reading them!xx

Sorry I meant to send you a PM back but I just haven't had time. Yep I received your entry, that brings my total up to three finished entries and three work in progresses. Still a week and a half to go though so please keep the entries coming, the quality so far is outstanding.
