I love music Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 I'm glad so many people seem to like this idea. I was a bit nervous about it but I really wanted some different stories, I get bored of reading the same old thing. You've been very helpful in setting this challenge I Love Music but that doesn't absolve you from entering, reckon you'd have time to come up with something? Nope, I won't be entering, Kat. I don't have enough writing time as it is to concentrate on my current fic. And I think I'm twice the age of most fanfic writers, who seem to be around 16? Also, I have sold some stuff in the past, not a lot, just a handful, but it doesn't seem right for me to enter. But mainly because of the age, I know I write better now than I did at sixteen. Looking forward to reading and reviewing the entries anyway!
Skykat Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 Your call ILM but I don't think anyone would mind if you do want to enter, I know some writers on here are older, me for one but it's up to you. I hope this means lots of updates of Sally Called then if you're not entering?
Pierced Musie Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 How dare you suggest I am a 16 year old
sevenpuddings Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 ILM, you mentioned before (AGES back) that you didn't feel comfortable entering because of those reasons. Honestly, I don't care if your fic is miles ahead of everyone elses, because it would just up the standards of the next challenge. Even if you don't enter, I really hope you consider reviewing the stories, because I think you have it in you to be more critical than us younger writers. I know in entering, I'm always hoping my fic will be criticised because thats the only way I'll know what some people dislike about my writing, and will help me improve. Wow, thats a random post. And yay, I finished my fic!

And yay, I finished my fic! I doubt it, the standard is already very high! But, no, I don't think it wouldn't be fair for someone my age to enter - my eldest niece is just fifteen, for instance, and I'd never dream of setting myself up in competition with her for anything. Time is another huge problem anyway. Work swallows up most of it and the only writing time I have reallly is maybe a few hours over the weekend. But I'll definitely read and review the fics!
Skykat Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 Is 2,043 words alright? That's fine sweetie, 10% either way I promised Jess so go for it.xx
Skykat Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 I just want to appologise to everybody who has sent me stuff to read in the delay in getting back to you. I've had a really hectic weekend and I'm too tired now to do them any justice. I will get round to it at the earliest possible moment though. Sorry.xx
