I don't think that would be pushing the limits Jess provided you make it an unconventional pairing.

What I really want to read is stories that involve different pairings of characters rather than the same characters that are written about all the time if that makes sense.

If you do want to write about a character you're not sure you know too well then my suggestion would be to research them, get clips and information from people off this site. Alternatively just go with somebody you know who left recently (ressurection is fine) and pair them with someone they never interracted with on the show.

I deliberatly left this restriction a bit ambiguous so I'm perfectly happy for people to put their own slant on it. I just want to see people writing about different people than usual and from a personal point of view, as those who read my stories can testify, I love to see old characters be bought back but I appreciate there's viewers who haven't watched the show until recently so I'd just encourage those people to put their own interpretation on the restriction.

I'm not going to be too strict on it, like I said I want it to be as open as possible to encourage people to write not put up barriers to it.

If you think it meets your interpretation of the demands then I'm happy with that.

The thing with me is that if I start a one shot fic, I have to finish it then and there. If I don't then it doesn't get finished

I can't wait to have a go at this challenge, I'm just having problems because I haven't really watched home and away long enough to see anyone leave... I've seen Barry, Peter, Hayley, Scott and Jesse leave but that's it and to be honest I'm don't really want to write about them, but I also don't want to try and write about a past character who I never actually saw on the show because I'll get their character all wrong! I'm gonna have to find a way around this somehow though.

I'm writing a fic about the first foster kids in H&A tho I never watched the first few years of H&A and didn't even know some of them even existed. All my info has come from reading their biographies and from what people on here have told me.

You could always ask other members on here for info. Having read "Lost" I reckon you're more than capable of writing about a character you never saw...

Thank you for your help! I mean, I'm surrounded by home and away fanatics, i'm bound to be able to find out about a past character if I wanted to. But I think I've decided on an idea that I'm pleased with - hopefully I'll write it well enough!

I'm glad so many people seem to like this idea. I was a bit nervous about it but I really wanted some different stories, I get bored of reading the same old thing.

You've been very helpful in setting this challenge I Love Music but that doesn't absolve you from entering, reckon you'd have time to come up with something?
