ste Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 The thing is they don't need to save up their budget and fly out to Australia every few years to film glossy promos. All they need to do is make them from the episodes like Channel 7 does and they don't even need to be as good or regular as those ones. It's not a very hard concept but Five seem to have trouble understanding it.

rootortoise Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 ive noticed the cross-channel advertising too, i always get confused hehe! i just wish they advertised home and away ACTUALLY on channel 5..some shows on there just dont get any credit...home and away is a popular show they should make some effort!! i also like stargate atlantis but they dont advertise that on there much either...i just wish h and a was shown on sky one or something like atlantis is, then it might get the credit it deserves!!

rootortoise Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 True! but at least it would be advertised more and not be cut like mad like it is on five!! my solution is just put it on both hehe equal advertising, double the home and away...problem solved! sky one was just an example anyway i dont think it ever would go to there, another channel maybe, i was just using it to show that im glad my other show is on there and not just five or i wud miss out on my other favourite show!

rootortoise Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 yeh i used to love watching it on ITV i watched it all the time! it was and still is imo waaay better than neighbours, and i missed out when it moved to channel 5 because i couldnt even receive the channel on my tv, its only really been since ive been at university where i get 5 that ive been watching it, and now i finally have sky in my room at home i can watch 5 and home and away all the time woohoo!! but u still have the problems of them cutting eps, poor advertising..its just really annoying!

So I reckon a nice 6.30 or 7pm time slot on Channel 4. Only thing is Channel 4 seem to just really do series programs, they dont have any soaps at the moment i think.
