Si-Co Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 I noticed at the end of Friday's episode (the 2005 finale), Five didn't insert their own mock-up of the final frame (copyright date and caption), but for the first time we actually saw the full end-credit sequence, with the guy walking off to the left and out of shot. There was no official website address or sponsorship captions on this final frame; I assume at some point Seven stopped putting them on the international version of the end-credits (maybe this was the first episode not to include them, but it seems an odd time to change the end-credit sequence). Five always saw fit not to show these captions or the AOL7/Yahoo7 address. I wonder what we will see on Five from Monday? Seven's closing credits now seem to be much shorter than before, so maybe the international version will also be shortened? Have the beach end-credits been shown at all in Oz this year (eg. during the tennis when the programme was running a day late in some states)?
James Martin Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 I also noticed this... I personally reckon that it's a mistake. I also believe that Five add that superimposed caption on. Did look better though, but I'm pretty sure that it was a mistake.

Si-Co Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Does Ireland show that final frame, that always used to have the website address and AOL7 on it, as well as the copyright caption and date? James, I'm not sure it was a mistake by Five - there was nothing on that final caption that they would need to hide.
ste Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 If they have stopped puting the website URL on the end then it probably wasn't a mistake, there is no need to cover it up anymore. They (Channel 7) have probably stopped puting it on because it makes no sense. The only people who would ever see it would be other countries anyway. So they probably realised there's no point in puting it on.
Izzy H Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 I don't see why we don't get to see the promos what Australia airs at the end.
ste Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Because they are not part of the show. They are put on by the TV station.

ste Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 I agree they should, or they should try and buy them from Channel 7 along with the show. I don't know if they would be allowed but I don't see why not.
