Beth was so annoying today, grr! But, I was hoping for a few angst free days for Luc & Belle, but then Lee turns up again

P.S - Mark Furze's voiceover before and after was so funny :P

I'm not saying Jack isn't completely to blame for what's happened, but IMO Martha has called all the shots since day one.

Martha decided that it was time for them to get married

Martha decided that the marriage wasn't working cause Jack was working late and doing what ever else a cop had to do as part of his duty

Martha decided that they needed a trial separation

Martha decided that the trial separation wasn't enough

Martha decided to sleep with a total stranger

Martha decided that the marriage was over

Jack has pretty much gone along with everything Martha decided, so now he should consider himself lucky and enjoy his freedom and get his life back on track, a Martha-free life that is.

IMO, it's Jack's fault for proposing in the first place. Just because Martha said she wanted a future with him doesn't mean she was asking him to get down on one knee then and there. His proposal came completely out of the blue and wasn't thought through at all. It was immature and naive. Although Martha could have said no, so I guess they both had their part to play. But it will be interesting to see what Jack is like now, as we've only ever known him as the guy who follows Martha around like a puppy. I hope we get to see some of the spark he had when he first arrived.

I agree with both of you, Martha did call the shots on pretty much every decision that was made, but i also agree with you Claire cause Jack didnt really think through the whole proposal thing and was a bit naive. I think there both to blame for certain things that happend but Martha did play a bigger part than Jack most of the time.

As for tonights ep, Beth too annoyed me to bits, she doesnt seem to trust Maddie at all! And as for Ric she doesnt seem to want to give him a chance at all! Im glad Belle and luke are ok now, they seem like quite a cute couple, not as cute as Maddie and Ric though. :)

As much as Beth was irritating in today's episode, I don't think she acted out of line in terms of how she dealt with Matilda. IMO it seemed liked how lots of mothers out there would react. I just loved how it was Colleen that let the cat out of the bag...and Ric's face when he heard Colleen and Beth speaking...

I still can't get my head around Belle and Luc...and that annoying Lee is back

I don't like Lee, and I don't like the idea of Belle and Lucas. I would never have put them together, but so far they haven't been too bad, so I'll give them a chance. The only thing that really puts me off is that a few weeks ago when Belle and Ric got drunk and nearly got back together, Lucas was just as vocal as Matilda about how much trouble Belle was. He was all 'you don't want to go back there' to Ric, and yet two weeks down the line he's going there himself!

As for Beth, I can see why she disapproves. The age difference isn't that bad but she's always been overprotective, so I'd have been surprised if she was fine with the relationship. Plus the fact that Matilda spent the night with him and lied about it is enough to make any mother go nuts. Banning her from seeing him is a bit OTT, not to mention pointless, but it's the kind of thing Beth would do.

What did Matilda say to Belle about Lucas? I've only seen snippits of the show this week- I feel like I've missed out on so much!

That basically, the only reason Luc wants to go out with Belle is so that he can get her into bed.
