What the hells wrong with her. she doesnt apear to have any thought for anyone (meaning Jack) other than herself. And your right Noni, she was going to get back with him, but stupid Ashton came waltzing in. But then again, if she had got back with him id have been fuming, because she would have gone on lieing to his face while he was going through hell. I know she saved Jacks life but that doesnt mean she can go off and sleep with some random loser and lie to Jack about it, im really mad at her right now! Grr

Uh! now i want to throw something at her even more! How dare she lie to Jack like that! And Ash saying 'it was just an accident'. Oh pull the other one Ashton! Maybe for you it was but for Martha it probably wasnt! Uh! I cant stand Martha right now!

I really want to throw something at her right now! How can she just fall out of love with him, and it sounded like she didnt even care that Jack nealry died. If she cared about him at all she would have stayed by his bed side while he woke up. Im so annoyed with her! And Alf what are you talking about, shes not admirable! Oh great, here comes Ash! This is just what we need *Dont worry Jack, I love you* While I don't agree with Martha sleeping with Ash, I also don't think it's surprising that she doesn't love Jack anymore. At the risk of having things thrown at me by JM fans, the pair of them got married without really getting to know each other. The foundation for a marriage just wasn't there - they hadn't even discussed a future together until the day before they got engaged, for goodness' sake! They had no idea what they were getting into and their break-up reflects that. I think it's plausible that Jack's accident made her realise that it was really over - she obviously expected to feel devastated at the thought of losing him, but didn't react as strongly as she'd thought she would - I just didn't appreciate them ruining a good episode by having her bump uglies with a complete stranger. Hmpf.

Martha was willing to not tell Jack and risk letting him find out further down the track but Ash wanted it all out in the open. He knew that it would hurt more for Jack to know at a later date. An honest man and a good friend. The rest of the episode was pretty blah!

Hmpf. Totally agree, I am a fan of Martha and Jack and really want them to get back together but they got married way too quickly. I mean if you (the audience) went on holiday for a week you would have been totally lost. They went from a happy young couple to engaged and then married at the drop of a hat. When you do things so quickly, you can't expect it to last. She has just woken up and realised when did I become a grown-up. I think that she still loves Jack but feels like the whole husband and wife thing is too much for her, sleeping with Ash is like having a way out. I don't think her friends and family are gonna agree. With Jack stuck in hospital and his wife carrying on with another bloke I think he is going to be seen as the injured party. Dsingles xxx

Despite what some people may think Anyway, I agree with your comment about them rushing into it and not building a foundation for a successful marriage. I guess it was bound to go wrong having rushed into everything like that. But i have to say that it was Marthas fault that they got engaged and married in such a sort space of time. She was the one that first mentioned marriage and then when they were engaged she ridiculously said 'lets get married this friday', so technically this is all her fault! Way to go Martha! Its your fault it all went wrong! And Tainted Muse i do agree with you, except for the liking Ash part I dont like him, but what he said tonight was admirable, he actually cared about Jack, unlike Martha only thinking of herself.

carmelle Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 I had to wait an extra hour and a half for todays episode, i wouldn't have minded if i was interested in the teams that were playing in the football match. Ok now to the episode... What is up with Martha. Surely tell Jack that their marriage is over/that she doesn't love him anymore before jumping into bed with a stranger. When she was at Jack's bedside the next day, it seemed like she was goign to say that she was willing to give them another chance and in walks Ash. I'm glad he walked in then other wise who knows what else she would have put Jack through. I thought I was going to hate this guy (ash) from the word go, but i dont, and its cause he wants to be honest with Jack, as they're friends, and he obviously has a shady past that even Jack doesn't know about, and that makes him interesting to me. And Tony obviously knows things about this guy that Jack and Luc don't cause he helped him out with things before. So Tony obviously had more of a life before he came to the Bay. Then there was Amanda and Belle - Belle really really hates her and Amanda is really really sorry. I liked their scenes- it was very realistic, but when Belle shouted out the whole list of Amanda's men that was harsh. In the end i actually felt sorry for Amanda. I know that Amanda is the adult in the mess, but Drew is also to blame and it just feels like he is getting away with it when the whole thing was mainly his doing. It was a good episode apart from Martha being such a moron. I just hope Peter's in tomorrows episode. Can't go wrong with that!
