I can officially say she's the best doctor Summer Bay ever had! I don't understand Dennis, most of the time, he takes it easy, strolling around the police station and leaving the most of the work to (usually) Jack & Lara and others but when Jack was attacked, boom! Dennis comes out and becomes a SuperCop of some sort! It was a good scene when Jack phoned Lara and suddenly this yob comes in and cuts off the phone and goes "Wrong number mate."

Even though Drew kissed Belle outta the blue it still made sense because Drew was after Belle for a while. That kiss and the "you're amazing" speech came out of nowhere for me!
Jess Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 I'm just watching the omnibus on five and I have to say that I much prefer Drew and Belle as separates; much more than I ever liked them as Drelle. I don't think that Peter's return storyline would've worked half as well if Drew and Belle had still been tied at the hip - Belle is far too much of a drama queen. It's a shame that the Amanda/Drew storyline seems to have been tied up (ie Belle and Drew now seem to be on pretty good terms), 'cos, as much as that storyline annoyed me on so many levels, it would've been interesting to see Peter's reaction to his son dating his ex sister-in-law. But, then again, it would've majorly detracted from Peter's reapperance, so I guess it's a case of swings and roundabouts. I never thought I'd say this, but I kinda like Belle and Lucas as a couple. I don't know how long it'll last, though. I have a feeling that Belle is just on some sort of rebound, given that she's just found out her mother has been getting it on with her boyfriend. While it lasts, however, I'll enjoy it. Belle is the biggest drama queen. I mean, I know Maddie can be incredibly irritating at times, too, but Belle just annoys me so much. I know she's gone through a lot, but I just wanna tell her to stop being such a whiny little brat. And Lucas is just not that angsty at all. I think that they balance each other out quite nicely. The off-shoot of this is that it also means that Lucas and Maddie aren't together any more. This means two things: 1) Lucas telling Maddie to mind her own business. Finally! 2) More room for the Maddie/Ric love. Given this, it surprises me that Maddie is being so interfering in Lucas/Belle. She hasn't exactly been left stranded, has she?! So, yeah, I think Drew/Belle splitting up may have been the best decision in a long time. It's actually created storylines, instead of being a random, unconnected thing.

That kiss and the "you're amazing" speech came out of nowhere for me! ^^ lol. i guess the door was left open. wot im thinkin thow, if jack wasnt there, wich he shouldnt have been anyway, then no one wud be at the station! wot if there was an emergency, no one wud be there to answer the phone come on writers! lets make it a tad more realistic As for the luke belle thing, it was quite random! they suddenly kiss and all of a sudden luke wants to be with her, i could see belle was pushed into that, u could tell she just wanted to stay friends with him...

Although I do say in my earlier post that I like them together 'cos they balance each other out, I prefer them as a plot device to get other characters to do things, rather than a couple in their own right. Anyway, anything that gets Luc away from Maddie (so that she can be with Ric) is fine by me!
