claire_louise Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Well, that is what happened in the end, but I just felt the need to express my feelings about how Kim had acted Ah really? I missed the end of the ep. I can see what Jess means about Rachel - her character has definitely changed, but then I guess it's not unrealistic. I just don't like how Kim seems so blase about the relationship when he was always the one pushing things to begin with, whereas Rachel is coming across as quite needy and clingy. I can see her point about having kids though - it's quite unfair of Kim to expect her to wait 10 years to start trying for a baby, especially when she'll be nearly 40 then.

(sorry if someone already asked this!) And I think Rachel is being incredibly selfish about the kid situation, but then again why cant they both compromise and say have kids in about 5 years time??!

I don't understand how a seventeen year old boy could have so much self-assurance that he makes a move on his girlfriend's mother (who also happens to be his uncle's ex-wife - only in Summer Bay could this happen!)...grrr! And, TBH, the whole thing is icky, anyway, IMO. The Kim/Rachel saga is also equally annoying. Like claire_louise said above, Kim was the one who was pushing for the relationship to happen when they first met, and now he just seems to have turned everything back on Rachel, and I'm not sure that I like it. And the fact that them having children was brought up in the first place (in a rather sudden way, too, IMO) means that it's doomed to failure.
jackandmarthaforever!! Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I hate the Drew and Amanda storyline. Its so wrong!! The Mattie and Dean storyline was okay. I think Martha is just overreacting with the whole Jack not been commited to their marriage!! For goodness sake the poor man has been trying to find out whose after Drew, then rescue the poor guy then go through all of Pete's files to see who could be after Drew!!! He's had a rough day so what if he wants to have a drink or two with his workmates who can sympathise with his day!!!

She's tying to make an effort, and fair enough that he has to work (it's not his fault) but afterwards he could have called. I'd be pretty pissed off if i thought i was being an old witch when yelling at my hubby about working, then trying really hard, then finding out he's actually at the local boozer, without even contacting me. I'd want to be invited. Also, i still side with Kim about the argument Just because he doesn't mention any insecurity, doesn't mean he has none. You've only got to look at the fact that he had to see a psychiatrist about it to see it affected him. It's the writers' fault if they forgot about it. Rachel is just so infuriating at the moment IMO, i can see where she's coming from, put the way she's putting it across, just makes her sound selfish. xxx Edit: I also find the Drew/Amanda stuff entirely cringe-worthy. Eiw.
freakybuffy Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 did anyone else notice drew eyes as he was waking up from the drug how creapy i can totally see were marthas coming from newly wed normally want to spend every second together and after the fire, chopper crash and everything else thats been going on in the bay he should want to spend as much time with her as possilbe, but i can see jack side aswell he want to relax atfer work with a couple of drink, but then why couldn't he call her and she if she wants to join them at least it shows that hes thinking of her especially after everything that was said last week!!! but this is just my opinion

I feel sorry for Jack, Martha and his job are the 2 most important things in his life and he's torn between the two. I just think Martha should just be a tiny bit more considered.
