^ The actors are only contracted for a certain number of episodes per week (usually 3), so they won't cover the same storyline every day. Plus it maintains a balance, so that people who aren't interested in the Tasha storyline still have a reason to watch. Think about it - if the show was all about a character you can't stand for a whole week, you'd probably turn off until the storyline was over, which isn't good for ratings.

What a coincidence that the car wouldn' start just when they needed to get away....

Umm... I think Mumma Rose did something to the car!

About Martha not fighting her off initially- perhaps she threatened to hurt Tasha? I can't understand why Martha didn't hit her across the face with the chains once she got free though - they would have made quite a formidable weapon! I can't imagine Tasha doing it, but Martha is supposed to have a temper. It may just be that they both find her psychologically intimidating. Insane people often are!

The business about Brad and Emily's wedding clothes was just silly. They could so easily have been wearing light coats, and Emily could at least have concealed her bouquet.

Anybody else notice that when Tasha was running her shoes were bright red, but i'm sure in the caravan later on they were black. If anyone can prove me wrong please do, but i saw the episode twice to be sure, and i don't think i'm wrong :P

I love how Tash reacted when Mumma Rose called them her "children". I also loved it when Mumma Rose said that she, Tash and the bub were going to go away together, then looked pointedly at Martha on the way out in a "you know what that means ... mwah ha ha" glance.

Ric was hilarious throughout the Belle stuff. Can't say i found Jessica at all interesting to watch though, although i did like it when Drew came in and found her. The Brad+Emily stuff was majorly lame. The vows were okay, but i agree with everyone else - the residents of SB are stupid.

Sorry if i'm posting spoilers by the way, i have lost all track of what episode FiveLife is on now.

Why exactly are we supposed to suddenly care for Emily? I mean she seems nice and all, but they're trying to compare the storyline with Sally and Flynn, which is just ridiculous in my eyes. I don't like the way Brad is treating Sally, and ... well ... if i'm honest i don't like Brad. No emotion, and he's just so odd looking .. face, body ... it's just weird, sort of plastic-y. (Note: not saying he's ugly, just weird looking!)

I personally can't wait to get back to the Mumma Rose stuff. Partly because i think Mumma Rose is absolutely hilarious what with her half-trucker-half-gypsy combination of clothes, and partly because i really admire Isabel's acting. That Tasha would be getting her life back together after the loosing Robbie/premature labour/going completely mad (in thinking she liked Jack) and now they're uprooting her again. I like that, because i think she has unresolved issues.

I was also shocked that she could run so fast, but loved it when she came into the house, yelling "Maccc!!". You'd think Martha would have checked on her friend beforehand though. Grr Martha, the only downside to the story is that she hasn't been drugged or (dare-i-say-it) killed.

Forgot to post this earlier:

FIVELIFE

At first the Mattie retreat stuff was good, but on what will be tonight's episode IMO, it was completely lame and i hated it. The bit about her not being able to speak up at group camp was good, because it was so believable. What is lame is all this Vannessa CRAP. I absolutely hate her. And i hate the writers for making Mattie so involved in other people's problems instead of focusing on her own. She's got enough after all. Vannessa is a selfish cow, and i don't see what point there is in her taking up my valuable screen space. The other guy is a waste of space too, what's his function?! Just to be bloody annoying and hang round Matilda like a vulture all the live-long day. I'm soooo annoyed because this storyline had so much promise and now it's all gone. The story is disappointing, and not at all Mattie-centric like it should be. I don't care about the problems of these non-characters and therefore, don't want to hear about them. The screaming scene was lame, cringeworthy, stupid - i don't know how else i can put it. If Mattie really was That insecure she wouldn't have joined in. I do wish they would think about continuity occasionally. Rant over.

I agree Clare, the whole thing about Mattie going to the retreat seemed like quite a promising opportunity for her to further develop her storyline, whereas it's being ruined by Vanessa. She's an irritating character who nobody cares about anyway and she's totally stealing what should be a really moving story about Matilda struggling to overcome her problems.
