Agree with the Amanda stuff - the whole scene reconciling with her mother and her sudden liking of Belle really makes her a nicer character to watch. Oh yeah - Thursday. I liked how they all held hands and prayed. It's good to bring religion into storylines like this and see how people. Liked the Rachel bit as well, as she kind of broke down because she said God wouldn't do this to people He loved. Much more original and I liked Leah's opinion as well. Is Lynne McGranger (Irene) a Christian? I just ask because several things I've read about her could indicate that she is. Maybe not...

AngelRose Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 I can remember two other characters who had/practiced a religion before; Lynn, one of the originals was a practicing Christian, and Jack converted to Islam. Can anyone think of any more out of interest?
Bay_Mad Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 Jade started praying loads when there was the boat incident and most of her family went missing (the time when Kane and Kirsty were on the island) I remember that because she went really obsessive over it and didn't stop talking about God. Im pretty sure that happened anyway!

Funny really, my mother never believed in God anyway, but I was still christened! I think it was more of a traditional thing, get the baby dressed in a nice dress and put water on its head so all the adults can have a drink and take some photos!
claire_louise Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 I think a Christening is just a nice way of officially welcoming the baby into the world. A lot of people now have a naming ceremony instead, which removes the religious element.
Bay_Mad Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 I loved it yesterday when Jack was watching the video (and not just because it showed Peter in the background ) I think it really showed how much he was missing Martha, I feel so sorry for the poor guy! Belle is really annoying me, with her spoilt brat attitude with all the other crash victims. She needs to grow up!! Irene doesn't seem that worried about her.. I missed todays epsiode though Will hopefuly watch it tommorrow lunch time!
