You could really tell that all the stuff with Belle and Kitty was really tearing her apart. And I also like how Irene has started to warm to Amanda. She doesn't seem like the same Amanda who turned Graham's life-support machine off to get all his cash...her and Josh being in cohorts together seems like a lifetime ago...I'm really liking this "new" Amanda. Long may it continue! I'm secretly hoping for an emotional mother-daughter reunion between Amanda and Belle sometime soon, that would be so amazing!
Bay_Mad Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 I agree about the Amanda thing, I also think it's sweet the scenes between her and Dan, as they have a big past together, its nice to see them getting on so well and supporting one another. I thought it was a bit weird about Irene and Amanda though, but I guess its disasters like these that bring people together! I loved Rachel in yesterdays episode, I knew she was going to break down eventually but when she finally did it was done really well!

It was Robbie who turned it off because he wanted his grandad to die with some dignity rather than being kept alive when he had said he didn't want that. I agree with all the stuff about Amanda though, the last couple of weeks has shown us that Amanda is actually human, she has feelings and can be a nice person. She isn't just the stereotypical bitch anymore, for the first time we've actually seen her as genuinely being the victim and are seeing this storyline from her point of view rather than that of Kitty or anyone else. For so long we've been fed storylines that would make us hate Amanda more and more, then all of a sudden we're given a situation where we can't help but feel sorry for her and actually be on her side. I'm glad they did this because I think that as a character, Amanda has always had potential to be better, but up until now she was always so one dimensional and never seemed to have any real feelings. Even when Josh was cheating on her you couldn't feel sorry for her, because whilst she had actually genuinely fallen for him, she was cheating on Graham to be with him and just stringing Graham along for his money. But now, I can't hate her, she has become so much more real and more believable as a character and has shown that she has some emotions and that she actually needs friends around to support her, which is something she has never really had before because she drove everyone to hate her! I'm looking forward to seeing Belle and Amanda together again, I'm curious as to what their reunion will be like, I can see Amanda wanting to be the doting, loving mother and Belle not wanting much to do with her, but I think that in time Belle will come to accept Amanda and they will have a friendler relationship, after all, they are pretty similar in a lot of ways.

Lakshya-KTrocks Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 I really like Indiana today and Lucas was being extremly sweet to her , they have a strong bond more than a romantic relationship, and Ray was amazing and so was Morag , even though she was pushing him but she was encoureging him to let the town spirit come to life like he always does in diasters like this and Poor Rachal is really raching Breaking point.
allibaz91 Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 Lol I agree about this Amanda thing - since she found out about Peter and Belle she's been a much better character, much more watchable. And also, get a sign for the cliff!! (I am aware that I said it to begin with lol, but I'm agreeing with the other comments on it)
