claire_louise Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 Indiana's acting was amazing tonight. I genuinely felt like bursting into tears for her. Apart from that, however, the episode was b****y ridiculous. I'm sorry, but the helicopter crashing? How completely pointless. Talk about stretching credulity to the limit. It's such a shame that a great storyline has been ruined by the writers' belief that melodrama equals ratings.
Tulip Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 Well anyone who gets into a plane/helicopter/car/train/bus, actually anyone who steps out their door, is likely to be involved in some incident. Yet so many people choose to live in Summer Bay. Oh you naive people... I thought the episode was OK. Not as good as the wedding episodes. It's a shame we skipped an episode cos of football. They should have moved it to today. We don't all have our TVs re-tuned yet... What is the point of Kit coming back? She's said like two lines so far.

I managed to catch yesterday's ep at lunchtime today, so for once I'm clued up! But this Five Life thing is annoying me - people don't seem to realise that not everyone has digital tv.

I quite liked the Belle/Amanda/Kitty scene and how irene took charge - although really, I cant see why Belle would believe a word Kitty told her after everything she's already lied about!
PeterK2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 Man, I actually feel sorry for Colin the pilot - he comes in all cheery and annouces "G'day I'm Colin, I'll be piloting the helicopter" and now look what's happened to him! Was Jack OK? When Rachel announced that the copter was missing, he seemed like he was trying to reach for something? I loved the Belle-Amanda-Kitty confronation and yelling at each other at the same time until Irene played the referee and sent Amanda-Belle off! lol Good eposide.

I know it's a soap and things go wrong more often than in real life, but this is just over the top, they need to learn that too much is too much, we need some calm and reality at some point!

summer_bay_rules Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 ^ Because they didn't want Mattie to get caught up in the crash. I would have been heartbroken if that had happened. Alos, maybe the surgeon only wanted minor burns, whereas Mattie's burns still need to heal for a bit longer before they can be treated with platstic surgery.
