Robina Fox Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Do you remember how anxious Martha was when Macca first started going out with Cassie? How she warned him not to hurt Cassie? When this abuse storyline started I thought she had known about his violence previously, but it didn't come up in this episode, even when she went to talk to him. Perhaps the writers didn't want to risk anything affecting Martha's popularity so close to her wedding. I liked Martha saying she would charge him; it seemed from her face that at first she was shocked at the idea of her brother being charged, but she put herself in Cassie's place and knew she would charge anyone who did that to her. It was brave to put her own feelings aside.

This storyline has really changed my opinion of her, as she used to be my least favourite character. Todays episode was brilliant!!! I also loved the scene when Sally turned up at the flat, go sally!!! One thing though..is it just me or did Cassies bruise change position half way through the episode? It started off right around her eye but then got lower...I may just be seeing things though!!

I agree with Bay_Mad and Guevara01, at first I thought it was my mind playing tricks on me but I was recording that epsoide and after watching it through at least 2 or 3 times, I'm convinced there was some inconsistency. I also agree with allibaz91, when the credits came up I went "Is that it?", things seemed rushed through but I'm liking the Belle-Amanda storyline.

claire_louise Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 I've enjoyed the Cassie and Macca stuff. It was better because Macca isn't a totally evil character, just a guy with problems who genuinely loves Cassie but messed up big time. It would have been nice to know a bit of his background and what made him like that. I'm so disappointed that Kim and Rachel are engaged. They're one of my favourite couples and I feel that part of their magic has gone now that the writers have taken them down this route. Practically every couple on the show gets married too young and too soon - there are plenty of other storylines they could do, why don't they give something else a try for once!
