1. Robbie deserved that slap from Amanda and Amanda deserved to be fired for slapping a student.

2. Graham/Amanda = Yuk!

3. Scott & Kim putting their problems with each other aside was a sweet moment. It was subtle and I liked it that way.

4. Scott talking to the baby about Noah. I nearly cried!

5. Ella was very convincing. Had me crossing my legs and wincing in pain.

Am I the only one who felt that maybe Hayley should have died there. I think it would have been good for the character lol!

This thread is going way way off topic...:P ...it is supposed to be about the CURRENT UK episodes.

Please try to keep on topic.

It was on topic in a way...it was comparing the current storyline to an old one. Just for the record, Mah and Jess, I agree about Kirsty. I still love her character, but Amanda's baby lie was no worse than hers. To crucify Amanda and call her 'inhuman' was slightly OTT, especially when the same people forgave Kirsty in the blink of an eye.

ETA: "Scott used to be a good character"?! :o What were you thinking?!

When he rode in on that horse, he was a down to earth character. He was realistic and he actually had a brain.

Then they put him with Hayley and everything went to hell.

I don't really like Scott. I used to, i think when he arrived he looked all manly, then he was paired up. That was his character. Dani's boyfriend, Hayley's boyfriend, Amanda's boyfriend etc. Never Scott.

Could that woman's acting be any better?

Ella is a fantastic actress and I've actually adapted to her as Hayley now and no longer see the two actresses' portrayals as different characters.

Ella is so natural as Hayley, she could have played the role for 7 years. I am so impressed with how she has adapted to the role.

I totally agree with you Liz, she is a really good actress but it is a shame that she was not brought in as a character in her own right. So then she could stay for years and years.LOL

I agree. Can you imagine Bec doing any of the recent scenes?..the ones with Irene, the ones with Scott and Kim, giving birth in the bush?...Ella is fantastic...IF Bec had had to do those scenes I have no doubts there would have been a lot of posts about them...and there would have been a lot if p**s taking! Ella's Hayley is a Hayley who has at long last grown up. I was never interested in Hayley before...she was always the same and there were no layers on nuances to her perfomance. Ella is Hayley as she is meant to be .....a grown up woman, not a perrenial teenager.

I totally agree at the end where it looks like she might be dead i said to my partner that they might as well have killed her off now seeings as she is leaving anyway it would have been more dramatic than what is coming up then Scott could have still found out the truth although it would have to have been discovered in a different way and Scott could leave the bay for a new life with baby Noah to make a fresh start away from all the bad things that happened there - would have been tragic for baby Noah though his mom dying during child birth and being named after his dead mothers former husband who was killed.

Back on topic though i thought that last nights episode was the best in a while and Ella did an excellent job i feel the first real performance that she has put in that was high quality - don't all shout at once i am entitled to my opinion but made me realise what an excellent actress she actually is an would have been an asset as a permenant fixture.

I really really liked last nights episode. The Hayley scenes to me felt real, and they were actually quite good to watch.

However i do have one major gripe. I think Graham and Amanda isn't ringing true for me. I just don't believe that he would be as supportive of her as he has been after what she did to both Scott and Robbie. I feel this is unreliastic, and doesn't really work right with the characters. However as the story develops i may change my views!

Argh didn't see all of tonights U.K episode but saw some and have to say i am astounded by the lack of Corey follow through. Irene looked fine, and what does Martha get...panic attacks! How does this work. Irene looked like she had just had the best week of her life.

*Faints dead on the floor with the absuridty of it all!*
