Tulip Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 Yeah, Fitzgerald isn't on often but she lights up the screen. I guess it's to make the police scenes more interesting. Her and Peter are definately meant to be together. She's always bringing him cups of tea and telling him he's working too hard...she looks after him! I agree about Belle - cheering him up but if he wants to be left alone leave him alone! Matilda and Lucas had chemistry when they were getting together and during the play but they've been ignored since then. I liked the scenes were all the girls were complaining about Jack and Kim's apartment being disguting. A sock in a fridge??? I think Cassie's anger at Belle is partly because she knows it wasn't entirely Rics' fault and that she is partly to blame so she directs her anger at someone she knows she can get away with because people will understand why - Belle. I lliked Sally's hospitality though - I think that's because maybe she feels, after Flynn's death, that life is too short for arguments and that they should try and get on.

He needs to do something about Dom, I mean, he can tell someone what is happening, or he can keep going to work, getting bullied to the point of it being dangerous. The worst that can happen is that the boss wouldn't believe him and would sack him for lying and trying to get Dom into trouble, but surely that's better than actually having to work with Dom?!? Argh, it's infuriating to watch, I wish Dom would just hurry up and die or something! I like the way Belle is standing up for Ric, even if she has just made things worse, at least she cares enough to do something about it!

Belle is right in saying that he should tell someone. On the other hand, it is my firm opinion that Belle is a whiney cow, who (yesterday) was completely selfish. At least Ric's diabetes has been mentioned for once though. Dom is obviously doing this because Ric has seen that mark on his back, and he is ashamed/insecure, but i personally do not think that the "Dom" character is very well formed or well acted. To comment on previous storylines; if Cassie can forgive Belle, why in the hell can't Matilda. It's not as though Belle did anything to Matilda, and she is behaving like a spoilt brat. Lucas has the personality of a wet fish though, so for me the storyline was entirely lustlustre. Jack is an idiot cop, but ... so is Peter. Martha (in today's episode) was completely out of line in telling Jack what to do - seeing as it has nothing to do with her. (Yes, you have just witnessed my siding with Jack, revel in it now, it's not likely to happen again). One last point: I hate Belle. There is nothing remotely fascinating about her. She is more whiney than Cassie ever was and has some characteristics forming of IMO, a bunny-boiler. xxx

Is it totally wrong for me to think that?!! And what is it with peoples ring tones on home and away??! Rics tone today was awful! Surely someone of his age would have a better one than that!
claire_louise Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 I'm also warming to Belle, although I thought the way her character was written in the beginning was awful. She was the most annoying character on the show by far, but there are aspects to her that I like now. There's still room for improvement, but at least now she's watchable. The relationship with Ric isn't half as bad as I thought it would be either.

Although, I still don't forgive her for leaving Flynn!
TabbyCool Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 I didn't judge Belle for what happened between Ric and Cassie, that was their own doing, not Belle's she just happened to be there at the time. If Cassie hadn't been such a cow, and if she and Ric actually trusted eachother and were committed to eachother, Belle wouldn't have been able to come between them at all, if anything, they'd both be friends with her. I quite like Belle, she has attitude and just seems like a typical teenager to me, not too goody goody and thinks she knows everything! I think she and Ric have more chemistry than Cassie and Ric ever did once they got together.
