He got together with her because she's a pretty girl who seemed (on the surface) like a nice person. That isn't a basis for a relationship. Hopefully over the next few months with everything they're set to go through (not giving anything away!) they'll get to know a lot more about each other and establish a much deeper bond, without necessarily getting back together for a long while.

Can you name any instances, occuring since they first "got together" that would suggest that they are a couple? They seem like they are just together for the sake of it, for the status and probably also through simple boredom (just like many other "couples" of their age I dare say). They seem like brother and sister. In fact, Matilda probably had more chemistry with Henry than she does with Lucas. And Mattie not being friends with Belle beacuse she allegedly "split Ric and Cassie up" just highlights her immense immaturity. I'm glad Lucas had the guts to finally vocalise it! And if you really think about it, Belle did not split Ric and Cassie up. Yes, she fancied him right from the start and tried it on, but Ric continually rejected her. Cassie's insecurity, her snobbish, patronising and controlling attitude after he was kicked out of school, and their distrust of one another-all long-standing problems in the relationship-are what split them up. Belle was not instrumental in the break-up. It would have happened with or without her prescence. Mattie is being very very childish indeed, and really needs to do alot of growing up before she can be in any sort of relationship.
zozalina Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 Matilda and Lucas were so immature at the end of last week. The incessant insults just came out of nowhere! I know they've never really been an overtly affectionate couple, but there's never been any bad feeling between them - and then suddenly all these snide comments are being thrown about. I like them as a couple (or at least I used to, when they were working on the play together) but since then they've started acting like squabbling siblings! I'm not surprised that they broke up; since they got together, I don't think they've said more than five words to each other. They're practically strangers.
Reo Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 I liked todays episode,felt really sorry for ric and him hiding the injuries..they looked really bad and must of been very painful..also felt sorry for belle with her being pushed away harshly by ric,although we know why she doesnt.. Cassie and Belle laughing at dinner with the rest of them,does that mean she has finally moved on from that..i hope she see's the fact that it wasnt belle that was the reason for the split that there were alot of things that broke the relationship up that wasnt to do with belle..but now that cassie seems alright with her,matilda still being against her seem weird. And strangley i cant remember the rest of the episode lol..although i did like the way martha was with jack looking in the fridge..and finding a sock.

But I think Belle is really annoying, even if Ric had a headache/migraine, then you'd leave him be, not keep pestering him - poor lad. Plus Mark Furze is a great actor.

I can't wait to find out, i hope its soon!By the way, Im loving Fitzgerald (if thats how you spell her name) I thought she was really funny in yesterdays episode teasing Peter about his mysterious woman, i love how they have some characters on the side like her.
