I think they should be in credits and more lines!!! There should be more younger ones definatly so they can be friends with ryan in Summer Bay Primary school or ..whatever.

I don't understand why Ryan can't be in the credits, he is old enough to be played by the same actor all the time now, so it's not like the credits would be constantly changing. Babies shouldn't be in the opening credits though as they are played by more than one "actor", usually twins, and are often replaced by different twins. Also, the same pair of twins sometimes play 2 babies on the show, weren't VJ and Lily played by the same babies at one point?

I agree that Ryan should have friends though, even if he just had one friend who came round after school or whatever. The thing is, unless someone fostered or adopted a little kid, the kid would need parents, meaning more adult characters too.

Or Sally could just foster more kids after her grieving of Flynn has gone like Pippa.

(I know that sentance sounds bad but you know what i mean.)

Yeah, Pippa never really looked for kids though, they just seemed to find her. That's why they were all teenagers, they were old enough to just turn up out of nowhere with no parents or anything and just become Pippa or Irene's foster kids. That's less likely to happen with little kids as they aren't old enough to just go out by themselves. Sally would have to actually decide to foster a kid rather than just have it happen like it did with Ric and Cassie.

they don't put the kids in the credits coz there not on the show enough. everyone that is in the credits are in the show more than once a week.. but ryan and vj are barely in it.. only when they are needed for a story line which is based on their parents. also they dont talk much because at a young age they don't really act as convincinly as they soon will when they get older. when they do get older they probably will be given more lines and maybe a permament role

Should the children be given lines in the show or more screentime? or more storylines even lighthearted ones ie VJ runs away (they did this quite well in Hollyoaks last year with a 6yr old)

I mean VJ is going to be 5 this year (on Oz screens) but rarely says anything and is'nt seen much. I know they can only be on the show for certain time periods.

Should they be on the credits?

Neighbours have their child actors in the main credits so should H & A?

Young Oscar in Neighbours is 2 and says more than VJ

What do others think?

The problem in that is that they wouldn't realy have a normal life, they'd be followed by fans everywhere. And a child need education and friends his/her own age. My parents haven't let me go to auditions for big films and such because schooling is more imprtant. They are now letting me go to auditions, but i haven't fonud any that i find interesting yet. If a child goes for auditions for a programme it can interfere with their education and socialising. For something like Home and Away, there aren't many young children on the show at the moment, there is just about 2(not including teens) and wouldn't you get a bit bored hanging around with adults all the time? And having to catch up on homework would also be a bore

Sometimes I forget that Sally even has a daughter because she is so rarely mentioned. VJ should also get way more screen time...Dylan used have lots of things to say and they were of similar age. I remember the first time VJ spoke I couldnt believe it...something about ice cream in the diner and he was about three at the time!!

^Same here! When we saw Pippa (little Pippa) at Flynns funeral I had to look twice and then thought oh yeah she has a daughter.

i have been watching the show a couple of times and wondered where the hell does Pippa go? lol does she have a nanny we never see or what? its just silly.
