Ryan Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 The balloony things that Jade and Dunc used are legal in the land of Oz.
dan Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Oops, I should have made it clearer that the specific drugs in question are legal in Oz and NOT all drugs. Sorry if I offended any of my Oz friends!
ste Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 I've just heard from Dorothy and both she and Tick-Tock are deeply offended.
Frankie Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 I've just heard from Dorothy and both she and Tick-Tock are deeply offended. The tin man, the scarecrow and the cowardly lion are pretty hacked off too!
Andy Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Have the edits mainly been from the episodes that were classified PG here?
Lee's lil lass Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 i can understand that editing is often inevitable for day time/early evening programmes and im fine with it so long as we dont miss out on crucial moments of storylines, but i do agree that five are a bit inconsistent. I think that maybe they also cut parts of the programme out if the programme over runs. For example, a few years ago when henry was tapdancing, they cut some of his dancing out and also (i think, although i may have just missed it) a few days ago when flynn finished work and was talking to the old lady, they cut some of their conversation out too (she commented on him marrying sally). i know these edited parts are not important but it shows that they may cut other scenes down too if the programme's a few seconds too long. Yeh your right, that episode this week or last week (cant remember!) that old lady didn't mention marrying Sally. All she said was that her husband wanted her to remarry and thats why Flynn told Sally to remarry. But she didn't say anything about them remarrying. If thats what u meant.
Ryan Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 I've just heard from Dorothy and both she and Tick-Tock are deeply offended. Why would Dorothy be offended, she only visited Oz twice? She's probably more likely to be offended if we said anything about Kansas.
ste Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Me too but I've heard that in the books Dorothy and her family finally go off to live in Oz forever towards the end of the series. In the books Oz is a real place and isn't just a dream. Also the Wizard of Oz with the green witch and the songs and the munchkins is utter crap and the much darker "Return to Oz" is a far more accurate adaptation of the books.
