Jack & Martha, what's going on with them??

Well, it's obvious that Jack fancies the pants of Martha, but I'm not to sure if she feels the same way.

I thought that they were like a very loved up couple, and when Martha and Jack split up, Martha seemed just as devistated by it as Jack did, however she has seemed to move on a hell of a lot quicker than he has. I'm sure that Corey was just a rebound thing, but she ended up getting quite serious with him, and was going to move away with him! That doesn't really sound to me like she had any feelings for Jack what so ever, because I'm sure if she did, then she'd stick around, wouldn't she?

Anyway, by todays episode (Horse Racing) Jack clearly still has feelings for Martha (when he asked her to go to the races, and when she said yes he was pleased) but she doesn't seem to be that bothered about him. When it sounded like he was asking her on a date it made her even more reluctant to go! So does this mean that she doesn't actually like Jack? Or does anyone have any information that suggests she still does? :D I'm sorry, but I'm a Jack & Martha fan, and I think it's a shame if one of them doesn't like the other! lol

I always got the impression that Jack is more into Martha, than she with him, i.e he always seems to make the most effort where she's concerned. I've never been a fan of Martha, but I like Jack. There's a scene coming up soon where Martha is really annoying and her attitude towards Jack is sh*t, but I won't say what it is, as its in a future ep.

In Australian eps now airing, this is the situation between them two:

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER (how do you spoiler tag, can't seem to see it?

I totally agree. Take for example, her relationship with Jesse. It was only meant to be a bit of fun, yet when they split up she spent the day in her PJ's drinking beer and was quite down. Yet when she split with Jack she was fine the next day, talking to Tasha like nothing had happened and planning on going out and meeting more guys straight away! Don't get me wrong, I adore Martha and Jack as a couple, but I think she needs to put a bit more effort into the relationship.

I agree too. Martha definately needs to put more effort into her and Jack's relationship, but i think that she does still like him. so much so that she is keeping him guessing because thats the kind of person Martha is. e.g. when Jack asked her to go to the races with him and she eventually said yes and walked out of the station with the biggest smile on her face!

Yea! I never thought about the smile on her face. I assumed it was because she was excited about going to the Races, but she hadn't wanted to go before, so it must have been because she was going with Jack. Maybe the reason why she keeps pushing him away and acting as if she doesn't like him is because she feels stupid? That would explain why she was saying "I definetly don't know" when Jack made it sound like a date, and then why she was smiling when they were going together as friends. That way she gets to go with him, something she wants to do, and it doesn't look like she likes him.

Yep, well thats what i think anyway as well!

If something like what happened to Martha had happened to me then i think i would be feeling pretty stupid and embarrassed. Especially if it was right in front of the guy that i reallly liked!

Yea! And after she said that she wouldn't go out with him, and went out with another guy, I think she'd feel pretty damn stupid saying that she did actually like him after all! lol Especially when it hasn't been that long since Corey.

And Martha is supposed to be the 'Miss Independent' girl, so she probably doesn't want to accept that she needs Jack's help!

Although I think she is slowly coming to terms with the fact that she won't be able to cope with it on her own and she won't mind that Jack is helping her but she still wants to keep him guessing

I think Martha really likes Jack, but I don't think she likes to admit it. When they broke up she cried her eyes out, but in front of tasha she acted like she moved on. It's just a "tough girl" act she puts on.

Yeah, Martha is very stubborn and likes everyone to think she's tough. She really opened up to Jack in tonight's episode though and she tried to give him a hug after he promised not to tell his boss about her gun, but he turned away. They are both clearly interested in each other, but I think Jack got the impression that she was turning on the charm to keep him sweet so he wouldn't report the gun going missing, which could be partially true since it's the first time she's really wanted much to do with him since they broke up.

She obviously still likes him though, she just doesn't want to admit it.
