Some places in UK don't even receive channel Five, so most people can't even compare the two, so they just *say* that Neighbours is better!

Just to let you know that there's an interesting article regarding Neighbours' future plans in the 'Neighbours' section. - its worth reading though.

also mentions of Rowena Wallence (former H&a star)

I am a big fan of both neighbours and home and away and like them equally for very different reasons.

I think home and away is all about the storylines and plots, where as neighbours is more about families, relationships between partners and families and the characters.

I think both soaps need something the other one has.

Neighbours needs to have more explosive and interesting storylines and home and away needs to concentrate more on the characters, instead of whats going on around them.

I think home and away has in the last few months made it more about the characters, but its doesnt work like neighbours. I have watched both for about 10 years, but i feel like i know the neighbours characters more, so get more involved in what they are doing.

I think thats why neighbours is far more popular in Britain than home and away cos of the characters.

we already have eastenders, corrie and emmerdale for the explosive storylines, so neighbours is something different.

i like home and away better than neigbours, neigbours doe'nt intrest me anymore, i used to whatch it everyday but i stopped in 2005 and i hav'nt seen a full episode since then. I used to love neigbours when the all the scullys and libby was there. Home and away gives more intresting and gripping storylines.
