Why did they make Josie as Angies cousin if they look strikingly similar I awlays wondered why Angie and Josie were cousins, why couldnt they be twins or sisters?

Because they'd just had the twin-sister storyline with Kirsty and Laura, and thought it was too soon for another one.

It would of also been harder to believe and follow that storyline if they were like twin-sisters.

Yes. Laurie Foell played both Angie and Josie.

I actually think it would of been better if they were like twin sisters, because they have similar personalities. It is quite unrealistic for cousins to look very similar, they should of been at least sisters, that makes Josie Tasha's second aunty

I think they were totally different. Also when I think about Josie and then think about Angie I don't even remember straight away that they were the same actress. They are totally seperate to me.

Re the Kirsty/Laura twin sister idea, it's a pity they didn't think it out much, much more because it was far too rushed and didn't work (apart from Jade's brilliant acting). Grange Hill did a separated-twin (parents divorced) story a few years back but it was brilliantly done because they actually got identical twin sisters to play the two parts.

It was a silly way to write Jade out (I'd have just sent her to Uni or to work as a travel rep or something) but I think H&A could've had an interesting story if they'd got two totally new characters (preferably identical twin actresses or sisters) who turned out to be separated twins instead.
