In an RTE Guide Poll of the Top 100 TV Shows of all time, the Irish public have voted Home and Away in 22nd place which is pretty good considering it's an all time poll.

Wow, that is pretty good.

Is there anybody on the forum who still watches on RTE? I've switched to downloading the eps at Australian pace :P

No, I hate RTE. They go on about H&A being one of the jewels in their crown yet never promote it or even acknowledge its existance so I gave up on them.

They never advertise Eastenders either and it's one of the highest rated shows on RTE One. It would be a waste of money for RTE to keep advertising it, people who have never watched an ep of H&A even know where & when to find it. It's pretty much an institution at this stage.

Although they would want to cop on with the occasional lunch time only airings.

Is the list online anywhere?

But any good network would realise the potential H&A has. If it tops the ratings now, imagine the figures it would get if big stories, like Kate Ritchie leaving and the Olympic Cliffhanger were advertized. And remember, the figure released by RTE for H&A dont include the lunchtime episode and the omnibus. There are a hell of a lot of H&A viewers in Ireland!

I dont think the list is online, I think H&A was one of the top placed soaps. Emmerdale was really low on the list and we beat Corrie too.
