Guevara01 Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 What irony! That's what the scriptwriters are there for. xx
Liz Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 When Hayley called off her wedding to Kim in favour of Scott, I found it ridiculous. By all 'real life' standards, she should still be in love with Noah.
Emma_B Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 When Hayley called off her wedding to Kim in favour of Scott, I found it ridiculous. By all 'real life' standards, she should still be in love with Noah. Of course she should. That is why I never could get behind the whole Scott/Hayley thing at all, even the first time round. How could you fall for Scott of all people after being with someone like Noah - much better looking, sensitive, actually intelligent, capable of independent thought, strong (hadn't spent years being bullied by Dani),...the list goes on and on and on.
Guevara01 Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 . . . Not wearing stupid 'cowboy' shirts all the time . . . xx
claire_louise Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 Totally agree with what everyone has said. I always found Hayley and Scott incredibly sickening and unbelievable. It was like they upped the romance and the 'we're sooo in love' factor to cancel out the fact that underneath it all they had no chemistry, and that no one could compare to Noah.
Liz Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 Even the NH engagaement happened a little too quickly after Alex left, but at least they had had a strong (albeit on/off) relationship for 3 years +.
claire_louise Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 I never thought that Hayley was really in love with Alex anyway. He was more of an emotional crutch to get her over Noah and the mess she made of things with Josh.

At the time, I really wanted Hayley/Alex to happen and thought that the little song he wrote for her was very sweet. Once they had got together however, I realised just how bland they were.

Yeah, I guess it was too quick. But Noah and Hayley were always a KK situation for me - I always thought they loved each other the whole time, and would always get back together. Although, if they had been slower, the scriptwriters might have had more time to think of other storylines for him and he needn't have died. The thing I don't get, is that there was loads they could have done - brought his mother back; a baby Hayley/Noah; his father; something to do with the counselling at the school, brought it a teenage character with problems and have Noah help. He was such a popular character and they were such a popular couple, it just seems a waste to me.

I didn't like Alex/Hayley, and always loved the scenes with Hayley and NOAH. So much chemistry from the start, and so much potential, right up until the end. xxx
