Tulip Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Don't you think it's a bit odd that during the whole time she and Kim were engaged and preparing to marry, Hayley never once mentioned or compared her previous wedding (to Noah)? I thought someone would've commented that when she was marrying Noah, she loved him and she would do anything for him and she was sure wanted to spend her life with him, whereas when she prepared to marry Kim she wasn't sure whether she loved him enough and didn't know if she wanted to spend her life with him. If she didn't say this to anyone, I thought she would have at least mentioned Noah or her last wedding, or maybe Kim would have said something. Also, isn't it nearly a year since Noah died? Are the characters that insensitive/forgetful that they haven't mentioned the siege since last year???

I think she didn't mention her and noah's wedding because they are only staying together for the babies sake so she probably thought it didn't even compare because they really reallly loved each other and the same can't be said for her and kim.
ema lou Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 Yeah Hayley was never truly in love with Km it was Scott she really loved and i dont think if she got married a million times nothing could compaire 2 her wedding with Noah well thats wot i think any why dont no if any one agrees. And i wonder why they havent said only thing about noahs deaths a year on you would think they would wouldnt you?
Guevara01 Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 They have said something about Noah's death , Josh came and said he was sorry to hear about it, and Hayley was all awkward and said thanks. xxx
Emma_B Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 They have said something about Noah's death , Josh came and said he was sorry to hear about it, and Hayley was all awkward and said thanks. xxx Yes, but they haven't mentioned an anniversary or anything and it must be more than a year since he died, surely? She was pregnant for 9 months! We knew she fell for Kim fast but not that fast!
claire_louise Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 Clare, I think Tulip meant that getting married to Kim should have brought back memories of Noah. It was Josh who brought the subject up in that instance, and it wasn't to do with Hayley and Kim. Ideally I think that they should have explored Hayley's feelings and have her compare Noah and Kim etc, but it probably would have made the storyline even more unrealistic. I mean, a woman who has been blissfully married to someone who she considered her soulmate isn't very likely to marry for a second time to someone who she doesn't even love. Also, perhaps they thought it wouldn't work to have Ella do scenes about Noah, especially so soon after she took over the role? The one time she spoke about him in any depth was the scene with Kit when she first started, and personally I thought it felt kind of uncomfortable and forced.

I also think it would have been wrong/weird to have Ella talk about Noah, it wouldn't have felt right. I thought it was a violation when she first came on screen, in the scene with Kit - that was before i grew to like Ella - but i agree that she didn't talk about him much. I think most things were unspoken truths. Everyone who has been watching H&A since at least before the seige, would have made the comparison anyway. Kim meant nothing to Hayley compared to Noah. xxx
Emma_B Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 ^ Exactly. We all know that he was her soulmate. Even stupid Scott can't compare to him. It just makes me sad that no one commemorated his death. I know the bar is named after him and stuff, but there is no one really left in the Bay now who knew him properly. Probably after Hayley left there was just Flynn. Poor Noah. I do miss him
Guevara01 Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 ^^^ And Hayley's leaving/left, Flynn's dying/dead. (Depending on where you live) Noah's memory will live on though! xxx

Why not open a brewery next door called Irene's and a Vodka distillery called Kit's and complete the set of inappropriate continuity errors.
