tessa305 Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 Ive been rewatching some old episodes and re-realised that the caravan park was heritage listed the first time some one tried to develop it. i was wondering if buildings be un-heritage listed (i know that isnt a word but couldnt think of any better ) because knowone seemed to mention it last year when brett macklin got his hands on it. Does anyone know?
c120701 Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 If was just the house that was heritage listed and not the caravan park, and Macklin only got his hands on the park, not the house. Although I thought that Max tried to get the house listed but failed however Josh went bankrupt and Rhys & Beth got to buy the house and park back cheaply or something like that.
tessa305 Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 But macklin did try to buy the house off sally and flynn. Also, i think it was Dani who got the house listed. Oh well, you're probably right ste, they forgot/
TabbyCool Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 My old school was a listed building, but it got to the stage where it was cheaper for them long-term to demolish it and build a new one rather than maintain the old building, so it got unlisted or something! It's a shame really, the building was obviously listed for a reason! It was an old grammar school (wasn't a grammar school by the time I went there!) and the building was lovely. The new thing looks like a leasure centre, with curved roofs and all that kind of thing. I prefer the old one, the new one looks kind of imposing!
Cal Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Even though I have been watching Home And Away for 12 years...I can't remember any of this!!
tessa305 Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 it happened in 2003 when rys had to sell the house to josh because he was having money difficulties after shelly left.
TabbyCool Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Even though I have been watching Home And Away for 12 years...I can't remember any of this!! You've been watching it since you were 4? I doubt you'd remember much of what happened on the show that long ago as you were so young and wouldn't have understood the storylines or anything at that age anyway.

Yeah but the stuff we're talking about happened in 2003, so that's not relevant. The poster simply meant it's funny they've been watching for all this time yet can't remember something that just happened a couple of years ago. That's all. And I actually remember stuff happening in the show, and I actually remember stuff quite vividly from 1988 when I was just 4.
