Sylvia_Saint Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 I know H&A is rated G and therefore swearing is not an option, but surely they can think of better alternatives than "rack off" and "I don't give a stuff". Any suggestions?
DaSilva Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Well, they could say "bloody" but then the English wouldnt want to buy it
Drew Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Why not? Oh that's right, the tourism add I remember there was a topic on this ages ago, but hearing Sally saying "B****" it will sound odd and very un-H&A lol
Holly Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 At least there not making there own swear words up like spiggin or whatever. I agree it would sound weird hearing them swear.
-Emily- Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Yes, it would be weird, and Five (UK broadcaster of H&A) could cute it out or not show it. Swearing isn't H&A so if anyone did swear then it just wouldn't be right.
TabbyCool Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Rack-off isn't made up, apparently some Australians do actually say that. Also, they used to say bloody, but they don't anymore, probably because that's considered swearing in the UK. Mild swearing, but still swearing, and considering how early the show is on and it's young audience, I can understand why Five might cut scenes or whatever if they contained swearing. If I want to hear swearing, I'll watch The Sopranos!
Holly Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Rack-off isn't made up, apparently some Australians do actually say that. I say rack - off sometimes
Penie Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 I would sound wierd if they did swear and they would proberly swear all the time!!!!
loveangelmusicbaby Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Rack off and I don't give a stuff isn't really swearing.
