The Beginning of the End

I personally thought it was a very touching way of handling the way he would tell Sally, as how could you put enough emotion into the words to really amplify the enormity of the situation? The words for me were not necesary as the visual acting spoke volumes.

I knew this was coming and I was still in tears :-(

Same here, i cried :crying: even though my father was in the room watching it with me.

I posted in a thread the other day, that there will be lots of tears, and i was disoppointed that there was not a build up to his ilness. But after tonight's episode there was no need to do it. I cried my eyes out , when Flynn was talking to Sally, with the music was played over them. Well done, it made it more emotional. How did you feel about it.

I agree, both Kate and Joel were fantastic. I have never cried so much at the TV before (except My Girl...... every time!) It was extremly clever the way that one piece of music and such fantastic acting could make an audience react like that

And Five didn't ruin it with an OTT continuity anno either - an announcement for info on Cancer from the NHS. I remember they did that for Kane's too.

I imagine we'll be seeing that a lot between now and June.
