I liked Tug/Sarah/Shane/Angel and also Curtis/Shannon/Selina/Jack

Me too. Especially the first gang there. They were so great! :)

I loved Tug/Sarah/Angel/Damian/Shane the most - they each had a very different character which never changed. Tug was the rough, violent and bullish one who deep down was just lost and the only people who could help him were Bobby and Sarah. Angel was the streetwise, bright one who was also quite lost but had an enourmous heart of gold. Damian was the nerdy, wimpy one who was always there for his friends. Sarah was the quiet, goody-goody and dedicated one, whilst Shane (to me a younger version of Adam and Martin) was the one who thought he was gods gift and tough but really was, well, just a very nice lad - he just didn't want to admit it. There were several sub-themes to this gang too - I liked Shane and Damians friendship very much, two different kinds of lads but both having been deprived in some way (Shane feeling negelcted by his rich parents and Damian being abused by Irene) and they shared a deep bond because of this (remember that chinese girl that almost broke them up?). I also liked the rivalry between Shane and Tug and how Shane stuck up for Damian to him and the way Angel brought Sarah out of herself (remember the nightclub incident????). But this gang will forever be remembered for what grew out of it - Shane and Angel, one of the best love stories the show ever had. Shannon, Curtis, Selina and Jack were good successors to these but I found these ones more enjoyable as they were around in a better era of the show. Plus the characters of the 95/6 gang were very different to the 93/4 one.
