stifler Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 I was just thinking, there aren't many lesbians in soaps. I know there aren't many Gay people in either, but I can't think of any lesbians, can you? eastenders ... sonia and that other girl. and there of course was hints of zoe/eve and sarah lewis. but that was all off camera.
Nicom Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Just wondering, did Ryan mean we had to move? But I like this board thingy! *hugs webpage* lol
x..kt..x Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 I think people are more prejudice against lesbians.

Ahh! Of course. Well, there have been more males. Will and Grace! Will and Jack are both gay, but they have no shows about lesbians do they? Not that i'm upset about this! I like Will and Grace! But I was just thinking...
x..kt..x Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Yeah, but I suppose we could get into this debate about disabled people, elderly people, people of different faiths etc..
Nicom Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Yeah, but I suppose we could get into this debate about disabled people, elderly people, people of different faiths etc.. Yes, but in england we've had films about people of different faiths (eg, bend it like beckham, bride and prejudice..) And Leah in home and away has a different faith i'm sure, wasn't there something about her mum wanting to have a special wedding.. (not completely sure) There was a drama called "Foot prints in the snow" (omg how sad was that!? lol) She became disabled, and elderly people are in soaps! Alfs getting on a bit, and colleen! lol And there are plently of elderly people in english soaps too! But I do think there should be more people in soaps that are disabled and people from different faiths.
x..kt..x Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 But how many elderly people have big storylines and things? They normally just have little things. And one drama with a disabled person in, that makes it fair doesn't it? (btw, not havin a go at you Nicole lol)
Pierced Musie Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Ahh! Of course. Well, there have been more males. Will and Grace! Can you guess what the L stands for?
Nicom Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Lol, no it isn't, i said at the bottom that there should be more disabled people in soaps! Ha ha! lol Gotcha there! Alf and Colleen have had storylines. Alf - Tumor (sp) Ric, Ailsa, and ones involving stupid Duncan, and other ones over the many many years Colleen had cancer not soo long ago, and she got ripped off by Marthas dad I think, and other things aswell. Ahh! Of course. Well, there have been more males. Will and Grace! Will and Jack are both gay, but they have no shows about lesbians do they? Not that i'm upset about this! I like Will and Grace! But I was just thinking... The L Word. Can you guess what the L stands for? Huh
