I think I heard somewhere that they have a contract with Mushroom Records. It amused me that the show recently featured (what I assume to be) a ficticious band called "The Mushrooms" live in concert. Ah subtlety.

They’ve always had a contract with Mushroom records since the show started. In fact Mushroom records website had a H&A section which featured every song ever used in every episode, in the playlist order from 1997 up until 2003 or 2004, maybe earlier.

Neighbours has just signed a new contract with Mushroom records, they were previously with Sony. (though were with Mushroom until 1999)

They play lots of NZ music which is very cool! I've heard The Feelers, Anika Moa The Black Seeds, Goldenhorse and my all time favs, Salmonella Dub.

The music used on the show is really cool!! There have been some really great tracks over the last couple of days in the UK. Eskimo Joe are fantastic, Lazy Susan are great, oh and Custom Kings are fabulous!!...one of their songs (Number One) was used for that calender shoot that Cassie arranged . All the music is fantastic actually, I can't really think of any song I have heard on the show and not liked.
