I rpomise we're different people, we're just very close and have the same opinion (for example we're both madly in love with Jack lol) Yes, people actually do that! There was this one time when I was on a forum and this newbie had posted a really stupid question that had already been answered about 50 times that week! Anyway, I politely pointed them in the direction of some other threads containing the answers they were looking for, as well as the search button! They took offense, then started accusing me of being mean and cruel and then went on to say that all of the old members thought they were so much better than everyone else blah blah blah! It ended up as a bit of a heated argument between them, myself and some other board members (who all agreed with me!). The newbie created a new account and joined in teh argument as their new alter-ego, saying that they agreed and that the members were all horrible! It was actually quite amusing in the end, me and one of the other members were chatting via PMs about it, I left for about an hour to have dinner and stuff, then when I went back to the forum the newbie had left me some abusive PMs for walking out of the argument. They didn't react very well when I told them that I had better things to do with my time than argue with pathetic little idiots! Ah, happy days! I haven't been to that forum in ages, I used to practically live there too! Anyway, I'm waaaaay off track now!

I try not to make too many topics, I think i've made 2, i've tried to make sure that no one else has made the same one..

Not all new members are idiots, in fact, most of them aren't. Everyone starts off as a new member at some point. You just get the odd one that comes on and just totally desregards the rules and then does their best to aggravate as many members as they can. To be honest, I quite enjoy online arguments, I've just learned to restrain myself somewhat these days! I tend to let things go more now than I used to. Don't get me wrong, I never caused trouble, I was just quick to join in with flame wars, but made sure that I never quite over-stepped the mark, hence never being banned from a forum despite my temper at times!

Katie is my school friend, i introduced her to home and away after she called me sad for watching it, and now she luvs it too! lol Why would I talk to myself? lol You never know, there are some crazy people out there! Also, the fact that you have the same birthday in your profiles might be a giveaway if you were the same person. Seriously though, I have come across people on forums who would have 2 accounts, usually new members who got themselves into heated arguments and wanted to give the impression that there was someone who actually agreed with them. They'd create another account and use it to back up and agree with whatever they had said in their first account! The 2nd user account is typically known as a "sock puppet" Totally pathetic, but true Do people really do this, that is weird, but i suppose it takes alsorts. To make the world go around.

Yes, some people are so desperate to have people agree with them that they create a new account and agree with themselves. They like to pretend that it's their friend on the forum, or that it's a complete stranger who happens to agree with them, but you can usually tell it's the same person because their writing style will be the same and their reactions will be the same when they are getting bothered! Sad but true
