I did read that Will comes back along with a few others to say goodbye to Sally in 2008, not sure if that's true or not though. Chris Hemsworth is going to America when his contract is up later this year & he has filmed his final scenes.

She managed to survive for so long before Flynn was even on the show, so why shouldn't she be able to manage without him afterwards? Kate is a good actress and will be able to put in some good performances when Flynn dies, it's not a reason for Kate to leave, it's not like the scriptwriters would write her out of the show, if she leaves, it's because she wants to, not because there are no storylines left for her. I think she's pretty much guaranteed a part in the show for as long as she wants to stay.
