She was pregnant with the child of Lleyton Hewitt, a tennis player. The baby has now been born and named Mia. :)

I think it's ridiculous recasting Haley for only a few months.

Maybe, but it had to be done. Otherwise, as Ryan said, the script writers would have had to change the storylines for Kim and Scott, as well as Hayley. The episodes are written six months in advance, so there would be a lot of things that would have to change, and at such short notice, it was easier to get someone else in to play Hayley. Just because Bec decided to leave, doesn't mean they should have to rewrite everything, the show doesn't revolve around Bec.

I agree, it will be strange seeing someone else playing Hayley, but it's better than having a storyline that was rushed and might not make that much sense just because Bec decided to leave.

Bec got knocked up.

You make it sound so sordid!

She is an adult, married and had a baby, nothing wrong with that.

I associate the term "Knocked up" with "accidents", unwanted teenage pregnancies and stuff, it sounds so sordid and not very nice at all.

She wasn't married when she fell pregnant, in fact they had only been dating a matter of weeks when that happened. Then came the quick wedding. Would they have got married so fast if it hadn't been for the pregnancy?
