dan Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Thanks for everyone's replies so far, I don't how Emma came to be classed current on my original list should be 'never returned' I think. Re Jade: she left orignally with Seb when they'd had the accident now I come to think of it and then Jade returned literally within a week (I think) because of someone being ill , was it Kirsty's kidney? Anyways I remember thinking she must still've been under contract or something so reappeared so quickly. Thanks especially to NenehCherry2 for those credits changes, I don't think they are anywhere elseon the net so we've got an exclusive! The reason I'm getting all these credits lists is because if we can finalise when everyone was on the credits we can then ascertain accurately who returned after leaving!
dan Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Just to cite sources, The 1988-90 ep nos come from 'The Canberra Home & Away Homepage' , www.homeandaway.cjb.net & the 1994-99 nos from www.homeandaway.org (www.homeandway.utvinternet.ie). Both are now only fully available on www.archive.org I spent most of last week going through old tapes to get the ep nos from 2000, but I wasn't very sucessful! Re the 1993 credits, I would guess that when Bobby and Greg departed they were just removed, Possibly some filler (a pelican or a surfer or something) was added somewhere for timing reasons.

dan Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Thanks NenehCherry 2, I must admit I'm getting a bit confused now about the 89 and 90 credits, what I've already got is not fitting with what I'm now hearing. For example I have Marilyn dropped a while before Morag left but then I hear they left together. Then there's Grant, did he have separate credits stints or something cos I'm a bit puzzled now. Am I right in thinking that the new style credits started at 527? If so did Grant really get on the credits and then 6 eps later get a new shot?
dan Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 Checking the Canberra/Early Years website (contrary to my earlier pots it IS online still at www.ozemail.com.au/~wjbm/homeandaway ) again, I note that at episode 471 Grant first appeared in the closing credits however his first mention in the opening credits is episode 527 in the new style set! It is the opening credits are what I'm refering to in all previous posts.
nenehcherry2 Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 Grant definately appeared in the 89-style credits with Tom, Martin, Lance and Celia for some length of time in early 1990, as not only do I remember this but you will see a pic of the shot in question here - http://www.homeandaway.utvinternet.com/clips/1990op1.htm It was put in the place of the old Morag shot and I remember that it didn't last for too long - I think he was actually added around 485??? Don't rely on William McDonald's episode guide (the Canberra Home and Away the early years page) for details of the credit changes - many are left out. He doesn't mention the change around episode 130 when Lynn and Matt were removed, and he completely misses out credit changes out in his 1992 and 1993 guides, as well as his later ones. Marilyn left for a while in episode 400, to be 'famous'. The previous shot of Morag used before Maz arrived was put back on the credits until Morag's own departure. When she left, this shot was replaced with a clip of a fisherman on his boat on the wharf, before Grant's addition. I do find it weird, considering that Sophie arrived (and Maz returned) before Grant did, yet he appeared in the titles before but thats Home and Away!!!
dan Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Unless I'm looking at an old version, William's ep guide only goes up to ep 623 from 1990. Fair enough about the Grant shot, is there another one in the 1990 set that has him with really long hair? Ryan- Tasha can't have replaced Nick at 3696 because that was already 2004 style credits, Nick didn't appear in that set. Did you mean 3596?
