Tulip Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Bobby died after Adam (I think that's his name) took her out in his boat. His boat was a bit dodgy and something happened, can't remember what. The consequences were that Bobby was unconcsious and taken to hospital, where husband Greg and dad Fisher made the decision to turn off her life support. Hope this helps, sorry I couldn't remember all the details.
nenehcherry2 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Greg had an 'affair' (they just kissed but this is Home And Away!) with single-mother Fiona (shown in UK dec 93) and Bobby threw him out (jan 94) for over a month, being a total bratty tramp and refusing to let him see Sam, even threatening to call the cops at one stage! However, eventually she forgave him and in the end they reunited and decided to make a baby just in time for the charity picknic on the river which Bobby had helped (feb 94). Adam was giving free boat rides in the 'killer boat' he had just bought and Luke and Bobby took a ride. However, Adam wasn't drving very well and going over the speed limit, failing to notice a log which was in front of the boat whilst he truned around and joked with Luke and Bobby. When Luke noticed the log it was too late and Adam wnet straight over it, smashing up the boat - with Bobby hitting her head on its side, going unconcious and getting swept out to sea. About an hour later, her body was washed up and the pair, with Michael managed to revive her and take her to hospital but she had suffered extensive brain damage and was a week later declared brain dead (with lots of flashbacks and Bobby music going on!). Her machine was then switched off with Greg by her side at the end of episode 1304 (19/8/93 - aus, 25/2/94 - UK).
lou le belle Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 wow thanks for that detailed answer, i can actually vagely remember some of it
Bareenfan Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Don, as ever, ws awesome in those episodes. He had already lost one child when Alan died and now Bobby. And later Byron, that guy had the most dire luck with his kids.
ste Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 a week later declared brain dead (with lots of flashbacks and Bobby music going on!). Her machine was then switched off with Greg by her side at the end of episode 1304 (19/8/93 - aus, 25/2/94 - UK). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't remember these Bobby flashbacks and music after her death I remember one flashback Don had in his office of giving Bobby some kind of award (student of the year or something??). I agree Don was brilliant in these episodes. Bareenfan don't forget Don also lost his unborn baby Oscar when Marilyn miscarried.
nenehcherry2 Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 Bobby's death also had a huge impact lasting a few months. Pretty much the whole bay hated Adam (especially Tug, Greg, Fisher and Sam) even though it was an accident, Greg (finally!!!!) did us all a favour and left (never liked him) and Morag returned (very bitchy and Fisher could not believe that she showed no emotions at Bobby's funeral). Bobby's music was played through a lot of the death scenes and I have some of these on video if anybody is interested. Fisher had flashbacks of Bobby, as did Greg, Pippa and Ailsa (and Morag) at the funeral, as well as when Fisher broke down when presenting a memorial to her. The most emotional version of Bobby's music ever played was played when her machine was switched off and the Fletcher music also made a return when Pippa visited her!
