Jesse i'm asking in reference to what you think of him now and also of his past.

Do you thinkk it was a good exit

Jesse had the ability and consious to be a good person, but it often took him over his temper if anything went wrong and hence he hit the bottle.

First time, I think Jesse had got away from his criminal lifestyle and behaviors as he looked after Rachel and became stable in work at the boat shed and with Selena, Kylie (although they did go ‘on the run’, that was more Kylie), Gypsy, and others - he had a few relationships that kept him happy and focused etc But a big problem thrown his way and he’s kinda back to square one, the fire at the boat shed, he lost a lot, his past returned and kinda found it easy to, although he wasn’t the instigator, landing himself in jail.

The second time round his stable relationships got him back on track and focused, including the gym work. Josie was the triggering factor for his problems that in turn threw him back into the carefree, nothing to live for, Jesse you knew for the last couple of weeks – he relapsed, but I think he could have pulled through until obviously, killing his best friend landed him in ****…emotionally it was true to Jesse, him going on the run like that without thinking about Rachel or any other consequences, similarly to how he did in 1999/2000…

I loved the exit and how he killed his best friend due to his own recklessness, I cant believe how ****ed you’d feel if you did that; his actions before and after were true to character, although Jesse was a favorite of mine, I think he was getting tiresome in the Bay, simply due to scripts and his boring relationships and there problems…

Although I didn't think I would, I ended up liking the twist that it was Jesse who killed Chloe. I know that alot of people have said that the whole thing was out of character for him but I think that was the point in the story. When he's drunk, he is out of character.

I did like the story, in fact I thought it was a fantastic idea, I just wasn't so keen on the timing. It should have been done a few weeks before, when he was getting really out of control, rather than when he seemed to be getting things back on track. And I think a more final exit would have been good, but that's just me being picky. They very nearly got there - apart from those two things it was fab.

I like that, Ash. The thing is, I don't believe that much thought was put in to it.

I loved Jesse first time round and second time found, pre-2005. Re: His exit, I thought the actual story was a good idea. But the timing was bad as was the reasoning for the crash. My major problem with it was that Jesse got drunk 'cause he was rejected. That's what was so out of character. Had it happened during his drunken period, then it would've had a greater impact. Had Chloe have been, say, Josie (she wouldn't have died) would also have been better.

I would've preferred a happier exit, as he certainly deserved it. But I guess this was okay, from the story perspective, but from the character, it could've been better. Why? 'Cause jail time seemed like a step backwards.

Yes, the jail thing was very"been there, done that" I thought. But I guess it was a more dramatic exit than had he just, for example, went off to live with Josie. The only regret I have about all of Jesse's time on the show is that they never really told us all that much about him. I think he's one of the very few characters in the history of the show who didnt have a dad or a mum or a brother or a sister turn up out of the woodwork at some point or other. In fact, to this day I know absolutely zero about his past before he came into the show, apart from that he was a petty crim and had a daughter with Kylie. Where did he come from? Who were his parents? Etcetera etcetera. Maybe I missed something and some of this was revealed at some point, but I dont believe so. I would have liked to know more about his past, via a storyline or too.

I loved Jesse and will miss him on the show. Oh well, just as long as there isnt an announcement about a prison riot culminating in a fire culminating in his death somewhere down the line, I suppose it will be okay.

Sayonara Mr. McGregor!
