AngelRose Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 I think long-term viewers have the most invested in Sally; they've watched her (and Kate ;)) grown from a tiny tot to a lovely young woman with a tot of her own & grown with her. She deserves love & happiness but I've never really been sure how to feel about Flynn, no matter who was playing him. (Though I do think the first fellow was better looking!) We'll see what the future holds.

He changed him and I didn't like that. At least the old Flynn had his own personality.. the new Flynn is just as Claire said - too caring.. and that's annoying!

I think the old Flynn, whilst very good looking was very one dimensional and did not actually have much of a personality. I also think MDW was not as good an actor as Joel. Joel has brought a lot more subtlety to the role and Sally and Flynn actully look like a couple in a way that they never did with the old Flynn. They "fit".The character has developned over the years and has become one the backbones of Home and Away. I think you will see a big hole when he leaves which it will be quite hard to fill. He is not one those in your face, front screen characters like some of the others but one of the characters which makes the show gel. I do agree he is too good to be true sometimes, but I blame the writers for that! I think they are one of the best couples in terms of "fit", and that they work together on screen. As for being the "best", well I have very definite views on who should get that title. (see sig)

I love Sally, Flynn i find annoying, in respect to the fact that he's a know it all Sorry but how can a person of his age being able to get all the relevent training in to aquire the qulifications to undertake the other roles he play at tho hosp- too unrealistic.. In respect to the question they are a good couple but not the best I am in with CB on who's the best couple
Frankie Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I think Joel is definitely the better actor. I like them as a couple. Of the current pairing I am not that struck on the youngsters as they are so annoying. Robbie and Tasha are nauseatingly irritating, Ric and Cassie are OK, Jack and Martha could develop into a good couple if the don't over hype them and write them stupid stories. Sally and Flynn have worked well as a couple, they have the chemistry. Not many of the others do. I have to agree with CB an BG, that Barry and Irene are the best,even though strictly speaking they aren't together.
